Maintenance tips for forklift batteries

Aug 14, 2023

forklift batteries
1. Adopting polyester fiber pipes, with good elasticity, small pore size, low resistance, and high breathability;
2. Fully insulated flexible connection wire, without leakage current;
3. The valve structure with a popped top plug and a special electrolyte level indicator;
4. Equipped with an automatic water filling cap;
5. Adopting high-quality inclined baffles with multiple micropores, high porosity and low resistance;
6. Adopting PP battery shell and cover material, resistant to impact;
7. The patented terminal sealing structure completely prevents plate growth and leakage.
Daily maintenance
1. The battery should be regularly replenished with distilled water (pure water).
2. If an electric forklift is not used for a long time, the battery should be fully charged and stored. And maintain a frequency interval of about 1-2 months for charging.
3. When working on multiple shifts, electric motor driven storage forklifts require backup batteries (in the case of continuous operation, the battery power consumption is fast and the battery loss is relatively large).
4. When charging the battery, it is necessary to completely separate the charging circuit from the chopper, as in addition to affecting the charging of the charger, the overvoltage generated by the charger can also damage the chopper.
5. Do not lay the battery horizontally.
6. Choose an intelligent phased charger to prevent overcharging and water loss.
7. Choose an efficient electric wheel hub system to reduce working current.
8. Charging frequently or maintaining a reasonable charging frequency, it is best to achieve planned charging. Such as charging once a day or charging once every two days.
9. Prevent low power storage, which is the most harmful to the battery.
